Pilau/Pulao is a simple yet aromatic and delicious recipe. Takes 5 mins to prepare and 15 minutes to cook.
Ingredients:
* Chicken stock 1 cube
* Rice 2 cups
* Whole garam masala 1 spoon
* Matar/Peas 1/2 cup
* Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
* Onion 1/2
* Oil 2 tbsp
* Green masala 1 tsp
Procedure:
Heat oil, add garam masala and finely chopped onions. Cook till onions are light golden.
Dissolve chicken stock cubes in 4 cups of water (double the quantity of rice). Add to the onion.
Add rice, chilli flakes, green masala and salt.
Cook on high heat till water evaporates. Turn down heat to low and let the rice cook.
Serve with raita/soup.
What beautiful decoration with the peppers, Daagh. Simply stunning. Your Strawberry-Peach dessert photo looks good too. Very drool-worthy. :)
