Aaloo-Shimla Mirch...

This is a very simple, easy and fast cooking recipe. It can be made in at the max 20 minutes including chopping and cutting.

* 1 Medium Capsicum (Shimla mirch)
* 5-6 small potatoes
* 1 tea sp Red Chilli powder
* 1 tea sp Dhaniya powder
* 1 tea sp zeera
* 1 tea sp whole Dhaniya
* 1 spoon ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
* Salt acc to taste

Dice potatoes and capsicum in around 1 inch cubes.
Add 4 tea spoon vegetable oil in a frying pan.
Once hot, add zeera and whole dhaniya.
Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste.
Add chopped potatoes keep stiring for 10 minutes.
Add all the powder spices.
Add capsicum, keep stiring for 5-8 minutes.
Add a dash of lemon.
Ready to serve.

Your Aaloo-shimla mirch recipe is almost similar to my version(I named it-aloo capsicum fry), except for dhania powder n green ginger garlic paste. Instead I add a pinch of garam masala. Rest is same.
Good day!

thanks Bhargavi... I will try yours and let you now how it turned out :-)

Hello daagh...
Thanks for this nice recipe. Have never heard of or tried capsicum with potatoes - very unusual and interesting.
Just wanted to ask that by 'whole dhaniya' do u mean corriander leaves or corriander seeds?
And also in the photo of the spices, I can see haldi but there is no mention of it in the recipe. Is haldi used as well?
Thanks a bunch

hi there

by whole corriander i meant corriander seeds...

turmeric is optional... add it if you want yellowish color to your dish...
