Paav Bhaji...
This is one of the very famous Maharashtrian/Mumbiiya recipe. Easy to make and you can put in any/every vegetable you have at home.
Ingredients:
* Potato 1 medium
* Cauliflower (Gobi) small pieces 1/2 cup
* Capsicum finely diced 1/2 cup
* Matar 1/2 cup
* Onions 2 medium
* Tomatoes 2 medium
* Whole garam masala 1 tbsp
* Red chilli powder 1 tsp
* Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
* Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
* Amchoor powder 1 tsp
* Saunf 1 tsp
* Oil
* Salt
Procedure:
Heat oil. Add garam masala. Fry onions till light golden.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook on high heat till it tomatoes are tender.
Add all the powder masala and cook till oil seperates.
Boil all the vegetables with some salt and water.
Add boiled vegetables to the masala.
Cook for 10 minutes on medium heat.
Now take the instrument (masher?) you must have in the kitchen and mash the vegetables.
Cook for another 10 minutes on low heat.
Add some butter before serving.
Serve with buns. Cut the buns in half and heat them up on the tava and apply some butter to the hot side of the buns.

ReplyDeleteHey, i dont exactly remember how i was lead to this blog...but i must say, the food pics r not only yummy looking..but also act as a driving force to want to get into the kitchen and try them out.
ReplyDeleteI did get a chance to try out this recipe, and it turned out really good. Just had one question, the '1tsp of Whole garam masala' mentioned...is the powder right? cuz garam masala itself r many different whole spices put together.
