Aloo Tikki...
Ingredients:
* Potatoes 2 boiled and mashed
* Chicken shreds 1/2 cup
* Sweet corn 1/2 cup
* Cheese grated 1/2 cup
* Zeera powder 1 tsp
* Chat masala 1/2 tsp
* Red chilli powder 1 tsp
* Salt
* Bread crumbs
Procedure:
Mix everything together except breadcrumbs.
Make tikkis and roll them into breadcrumbs.
Shallow fry them till crisp golden layer.
Serve hot with imli chutney.

Imli chutney is simple...
take 1 tabsp of imli paste. add 2 tabsp of water, 1 tsp of sugar, 1/2 tsp red chilli, 1/2 tsp of chaat masala. heat it in microwave/stove and serve cold.

when ever i try making Aloo tikkis or pattis for veg. Burger, it does not come out as crispy as it should be... it just is in consistency of paste , some one told me its quality of Potato ? i tried adding bread slices but still no satisfactory results can you suggest perfect way to make crispy Tikki as perfected by Mac Donalds

meena, try using japanese bread crumbs to coat these tikkis before frying. These crumbs are more flakey and coarser to give you that extra crispiness.
Also, dont add any water and if adding other vegetables, make sure you boil them and then dry them on a kitchen towel before adding them to mashed potatoes.
