This is a parsi dish. Gets ready in no time with very basic ingredients.
* Chicken 500 gms (or half chicken)
* Potato 1 medium
* Onions 2 medium
* Tomatoes 2 medium
* Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
* Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
* Dhaniya powder 1 tsp
Heat oil. Fry roughly chopped onions till transparent.
Add roughly chopped tomates and cook for 10 minutes on high heat. Keep stirring all the time.
Blend this into a paste and add all the powder masala.
Cook the paste again on medium heat till oil seperates.
Add Chicken and turn the heat down to low.
Let it cook for half an hour.
Grate the potato into match stick thin.
Deep fry them till they are crispy.
Serve the chicken and spread the fried potatoe sticks (sali) on top of it.
Serve hot with paratha/naan.
