Green Chutney Aloo...

My wifey noted this recipe from a cookery show and she badly wanted me to make it for her. From the sound of it, the recipe felt very delicious and tangy. This dish can be used as side salad thingee or as a side dish with plain daal-chawal.

One can try and modify it to their taste by adding some grated coconut or by adding whole red chillies.

Ingredients:
* Potatoes 2 medium (boiled and cut into an inch cubes)
* Corriander leaves 1 cup
* Fresh Mint leaves 1/4 cup
* Lemon Juice 1 tbsp
* Yoghurt 1 cup
* Zeera 1 tsp
* Green chillies 4-5
* Green masala 1 tsp
* Oil and salt

Procedure:
Blend corriander leaves, mint, lemon juice and green chillies to a paste.
Heat a tablespoon of oil and add zeera. Once zeera splutters, add the green paste.
Fry the masala for 3-4 minutes, add the boiled potatoes.
Cook for 3-4 minutes and add yoghurt. Turn down the heat and let it cook.
Serve hot with paratha or as a side dish with daal-chawal.

I am sure this preparation whould go well with parathas. I make a similar dish with steamed baby corn instead of the boiled potatoes. We often finish it off as a snack before dinner. :)

ahan :-)

will give it a try with babycorn and let you know

ur wife is soooooo lucky! Sigh!

she thinks the same :-p
