Mung Sprouts

Ingredients:
* Mung beans 1 cup
* Onion 1 medium
* Tomatoes 2 medium
* Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
* Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
* Dhaniya powder 1 tbsp
* Zeera 1/2 tbsp
* Green paste (see Miscellaneous category) 1 tbsp
* Salt
* Oil

Procedure:
Soak the beans overnight. Next morning tie them in wet cloth and keep it in a dry and bright place (not in direct sunlight). By the evening the beans will become sprouted.
Heat oil. Add zeera then add finely chopped onions. Cook till light golden.
Add chopped tomatoes and all masala and cook on medium heat till oil seperates.
Add mung beans and cook for 6-7 minutes on medium heat. Check if the beans are tender.
Serve hot with roti and yoghurt.

That's very interesting, I've never heard of sprouting mung beans first and then making curry, I will definitely try it. Thanks for the delicious looking recipe!

I was planning to make the typical usal-paav dish but fatee was not brave enough to try that *halo*

It's a nice recipe. I will do my best to make it at home. I think we need more initiatives like this one because there are to many dishes and we need to know new ways.
