Mutton Biryani...
This biryani is not made from the readymade masala but all from scratch. It is a bit of work but tastes so much better.
Ingredients:
* Lamb/Beef 500 gms
* Onions 3-4 medium (finely chopped and fried dark brown)
* Green Masala 1 tbsp
* Tomatoes 3-4 medium (puree'ed)
* Whole garam masala (cloves, cardamom, cinamon, bay leaves, aniseed, black pepper)
* Red chilli powder 1 tbsp
* Corriander powder 1 tbsp
* Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
* Youghurt 1 cup
* Oil 5-6 tbsp
Procedure:
Heat Oil. Add whole garam masala and meat.
Fry for few minutes.
Add green masala.
Fry for couple of minutes.
Blend together fried onions, tomatoe puree, yoghurt, all powder masala into a paste.
Add the paste to the meat.
Cook for around 20 minutes or till meat is tender and the gravy becomes thick.
Boil 2 cups if rice in lots of water till it is almost cooked.
Drain the water from rice.
Divide the rice in two parts.
Lay first part of rice in a pot.
Add the cooked meat.
Lay the remaining part of rice.
Cover the lid tightly and cook it on very low heat for 20-25 minutes.
Serve with yoghurt and green chutney.

all the recipes are great , i have recently tasted pulao biryani made with shaan masala, it was the most deliicous biryani i have ever tasted. do you have the recipe of that cuz i am not very much fond of prepared maslas

Hi Daagh,
ur recipes look yummy.. and i am goining to try them.
I have a doubt, is Green Masala and green paste are different. if so can u tell me how to make green paste coz u already told what is green masala.
and i love green chutney.. can u plzz tell me how to do that also.

Green masala and Green paste are one and the same.
The green chutney you see is blend of
corriander,mint 50gms each. plus a couple of green chillies and loads of lemon juice with sugar and salt. add a bit of yoghurt when serving with Biryani.
