Gajar Halwa...

Ingredients:
* Carrots 1 Kg
* Milk 500 ml
* Sugar 1 cup
* Ghee/Clear butter 1/2 cup
* Dry fruits 2 tbsp
Procedure:
Grate carrots. Heat milk, add grated carrots and boil on medium heat till all milk evaporates. Keep stirring in between.
Once the milk evaporates, add sugar and ghee and cook for 10 minutes on high heat with constant stirring.
Add half of the dry fruits and stirr till the halwa becomes shiny.
Serve hot with vanilla icecream.
Loved the picture, I love Gajar Halwa with icecream a lot , just the way you showed in the picture.

hi I tried the following recipe of sabudana kheer turned out really good
1 cup sabudana
1ltr milk
dry fruits(sultanas,walnuts,dates)
saffron
cardamom pods
Soak the sabudana in water for 15 minutes.
Boil milk with the sugar and cardamoms and add the sabudana after draining the water.
Boil until the sabudana becomes swollen and translucent.
Soak saffron flakes in a cup of cold milk for 10 minutes.
Mix to squeeze out color and add all of it to the boiling milk.
Serve hot or cold garnished with dry fruits.

What.. with ice-cream? what are you doing to my diet? I've never had it with ice-cream & now im making it for Eid, so I'll serve it with Icecream. I usually put toasted coconut flakes on it, & eat it piping hot. Once when I went to a wedding they served it with boiled eggs. It was a bit different, but tasty.
