Gajar Halwa...

Carrot Halwa/Gajar ka Halwa is one of the most common yet exclusive dessert in any asian dawat.

Ingredients:
* Carrots 1 Kg
* Milk 500 ml
* Sugar 1 cup
* Ghee/Clear butter 1/2 cup
* Dry fruits 2 tbsp

Procedure:
Grate carrots. Heat milk, add grated carrots and boil on medium heat till all milk evaporates. Keep stirring in between.
Once the milk evaporates, add sugar and ghee and cook for 10 minutes on high heat with constant stirring.
Add half of the dry fruits and stirr till the halwa becomes shiny.
Serve hot with vanilla icecream.

Loved the picture, I love Gajar Halwa with icecream a lot , just the way you showed in the picture.

What.. with ice-cream? what are you doing to my diet? I've never had it with ice-cream & now im making it for Eid, so I'll serve it with Icecream. I usually put toasted coconut flakes on it, & eat it piping hot. Once when I went to a wedding they served it with boiled eggs. It was a bit different, but tasty.
